I have been working on a new LD design for some time. The first prototype looked like this:
Then my good friend Michal of Urban Failure came up with the idea of placing the step buttons below the display, and a new prototype was made:
This was later boxed, and became the LD3 prototype rev. 2, that is shown below, and in the the first video's.
Unfortunately the electronics and the Gotharman's logo in it were a bit too cramped together, so the Rev. 3 prototype was made:
Many users then requested 8 edit knobs instead of 4, to make editing more intuitive, and the Rev. 4 was made. That is the one showed in the top of this site.
